CHARGERS CLAIM PLAYOFF SPOT WITH WIN

Plymouth, IN – Ancilla College secured a bid to the National Junior College Athletic Association District 12 playoffs with an 88-79 victory over Kalamazoo Valley Community College on Saturday afternoon. The two teams only combined for 15 total free throws between them.

  Cortney Shorter led the Chargers (17-5, 11-3) with 19 points, with Weston Sage netting 12 and Isiah James scoring 11. Josh Alcindor finished with 10 points. Rico Swanson, Jr. added 11 assists.

  Ancilla is on the road next week with a game in Benton Harbor against Lake Michigan College on Wednesday and next Saturday they travel to play Lansing Community College. They return home on Feb. 24th to play Mid Michigan on Sophomore Day.
