PLYMOUTH – Ancilla College finally got their season underway on Thursday night with a 105-66 victory over the Bethel University JV. Five players scored in double figures for the Chargers (1-0).
Newcomer Caleb Brown led the Ancilla with 19 points and five rebounds. Sophomore Keith Rupert added 18 points on 4-6 shooting from three-point range. Cortney Shorter added 13 points with Connor Doobay scoring 13. Rico Swanson, Jr. finished with 10 points and a team-high seven rebounds.
With Ancilla's conference season pushed to late February or March, Coach Brian Pearison is trying to add additional non-conference games to fill the schedule.
