Saturday afternoon, the Marian University Ancilla Men's Soccer team hosted Cuyahoga Community College in a Regional matchup, winning by a score of 4-1. The win moved the Chargers to 5-2 on the season, and it already pulls them within one win of last season's total.

Freshman midfielder Bawi Za Sang stole the show, as he came off the bench midway through the 1st Half to score three goals before the midpoint. The talented rookie scored his first career goal just three games ago, and he now has five goals and an assist in the last four contests.

Sophomore Sanitago Morales was responsible for the final Charger goal, just after halftime, plus MUAC assisted on three of their four goals. Freshman Hein Lin assisted on two of those goals, while fellow Freshman Matt Polk Jr. picked up the other assist.

Redshirt Freshman Trent Platz has been good in goal all season, and yesterday he saved 15 of the 16 shot attempts he saw. At 6-foot-6 he covers a lot of ground and gives the Chargers security knowing he's back there.

Next up, the Men's Soccer team hosts MCCAA foe Schoolcraft College (3-2), currently ranked #15 in the country in NJCAA Division-II. That matchup is set for this coming Wednesday, September 25th, with the opening kick scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Please come out and support the Chargers!!
