  Coach Kurbonov enters his 3rd season as ACMU head men's soccer coach. Making post season semifinals in both of his seasons. Under his leadership, the Chargers have boasted five First Team All-Region players, four Second Team All-Region and seven First Team All-Conference players. At the end of the season, The soccer program also received Djuric Peric Award for 2019 season, the highly coverted Regional Sportsmanship Award. Kurbonov also produced seven NJCAA All-Academics and 11 MCCAA All-Academics. 

 Prior to Ancilla, Kurbonov was the assistant coach for the men’s team at Pasadena City College in Pasadena, California. Soon after, he took a job to be a head coach for LaSalle High School girl’s program and also helped the goalkeepers on the men’s soccer team, while still working at Pasadena City College. After a brief stop in California, Kurbonov accepted a position of Assistant Coach at Delta State University competing in NCAA D2 Gulf South Conference.

After two years with the Statesmen, Kurbonov returned to his alma mater, Holy Cross College, and served as an associate head coach. While at Holy Cross, he helped the Saints make the quarterfinals in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Kurbonov also coaches at Michiana Echo Soccer Club where he makes a big impact in development of local youth players. Under his helm, Echo teams have won Indiana Soccer League and made it to the final in state games.

Kurbonov holds the United States Soccer Federation licenses, as well as National Soccer Coaches Association of America Goalkeeping Level 1 and Level 2 diplomas.

Kurbonov brings a wealth of playing experience to Ancilla College, playing four years at NAIA Holy Cross College in Notre Dame, Indiana. While there, they broke many school records, helped the team to its first post-season tournament.  During his senior year the team made it to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Athletics finals. Prior to Holy Cross, he played for FC Locomotive Dushanbe in the National Premier League 2nd Division in Tajikistan until age 17.

The Dushanbe, Tajikistan, native graduated from Holy Cross College in 2014 with two degrees, communications and business administration and received his master of science in sports and human performance with a concentration in sports management from Delta State University in 2018.
