Samuels Reclaims Record, Leads Chargers

  Grayling, MI -The Ancilla College Men's Cross Country team ran its fastest race of the season Friday at the Kirtland Firebird Invitational. Three runners broke the 30-minute mark, as a new school record was set for the third straight meet.

  Nathan Samuels finished 20th in 29:16.7 to set the new mark, with Kelsey Brown close behind in 23rd at 29:31.1. Jonathan Wiggins was 31st with a 29:53.6 time in a crowded field.  Jayquan Head (60th) 34.44.2 and Matthew Markovitz (62th) in 34:47.9 completed the teams scoring. 

  The Chargers placed 9th in the event with 190 points, with Grand Rapids winning the 13-team race with 43 points. Joshua Kipoech was again dominate for the Raiders, winning in 27:08.4, 35 seconds quicker than second place.
