Season-Best Defensive Effort Leads Chargers Women's Basketball To 3rd Straight Win

The MU Ancilla Women's Basketball Team took the long road trip to Dearborn, MI to face Henry Ford College and came away with a 59-24 road win, their 3rd win in a row.  The 24 points is the 4th lowest total allowed in the program's 23-year history, behind only the 2018-2019 team who held Olive Harvey to 22 points, the 2018-2019 team who held Olive Harvey to 19 point, and the 2016-2017 team who held Andrews University to 19 points.  The Chargers held Henry Ford to single digits in all four quarters in their dominant defensive performance.  The Chargers continued their recent dominance on the boards as they outrebounded Henry Ford 44-30 and were led by Jayci Allen's 19 rebounds, a new career high for the Freshman from Richmond, IN.

Offensively, MU Ancilla shot 44.8% from the floor and all 7 available players scored for the Chargers.  Audrey Schmidt had her best game as a Charger as she led the team with 16 points on 7-9 shooting from the field.  Jayci Allen followed with 14 points.

With the win, MU Ancilla upped their winning streak to 3 games and moved to 7-2 on the season.  The 7-2 start is the best start for the program since the 2017-2018 team started the season 8-1.
