Charger Women Throw Well at Indiana State

Saturday, the Marian University Ancilla women's Track & Field team attended the Sycamore Open at Indiana State University. Individually, several Chargers stood out in their events. Below is a look at some highlights from the action in Terre Haute, Indiana.

- Highlighting the women's team was Sophomore Grace Cygan of Union Mills, Indiana, who set her personal best distance in the Shot Put for a second consecutive weekend. Her throw of 7.18 meters allowed her to finish 6th overall in the Shot Put event.

- Sophomore Sam Benninghoff of nearby Knox, Indiana,  put together a great day in the throwing events. First, in the Shot Put, she threw for a distance of 5.59 meters, helping her to finish 7th in that event. Additionally, she participated in the Javelin, where her best throw went for a distance of 13.64 meters, which was good enough for her to finish 8th overall in that event.
