Chargers Fall in Last Away Game of the Year

Chargers Fall in Last Away Game of the Year

The Marian Ancilla Volleyball season is coming to a quick end, and Friday night the Chargers traveled to Kellogg Community College for their final road matchup of the year. The Bruins sit in second place in the MCCAA Western Division, and they proved to be quite the challenge, defeating Marian Ancilla 3-sets-to-0 (25-10, 25-15, 25-10).

The Chargers put forth a scrappy effort, but in the end, it wasn't enough. Sophomore Alexis King (.333) led all Chargers in hitting, while Sophomore Brooke Schroeder continues to play well in defensive situations, playing 31 serve-receive attempts with just one error.

The Marian Ancilla Volleyball team has just one match remaining, and they could use your support. Tuesday evening, at the LifePlex in Plymouth, it will be Sophomore Night. Please come out to help honor these Sophomore student-athletes for the commitment they've made to the program. The Chargers will face Kalamazoo Valley Community College at 6:30 p.m.
