SPRINGFIELD, OH – Brock Cosey scored 21 points and Jakylen Thomas added 18 as Ancilla College ran past Clark State Community College 98-68 Friday night in a non-conference matchup on the road.
The Chargers (2-0) led 43-29 at halftime and placed five players in double figures. Cortney Shorter added 11 points and nine rebounds, while Keith Rupert and Shakell Johnson came off the bench to score 11 points each. Rico Swanson, Jr. had nine assists.
Coach Brian Pearison is trying to secure another game this week before Ancilla starts Michigan Community College Athletic Association play on Feb. 19th. There is a mandated seven-day period prior to conference play where teams cannot play non-conference games. The updated conference schedule should be out this week.
