Shorter, Brown Help Ancilla Over Power Grand Rapids

     Plymouth – Cortney Shorter scored a game-high 22 points and Caleb Brown added a double- double with 17 points and 15 rebounds, as Ancilla College remained perfect on the season with an 86-70 Michigan Community College Athletic Association win over Grand Rapids Tuesday night.

     The Chargers (4-0, 2-0) led for most of the game and built a 42-35 halftime advantage. In the second half, the lead ballooned to 20 points at times, as Ancilla controlled the final 30 minutes of the contest.

    Shak Johnson came off the bench to score 14 points and Marco Beverly added 10.

    Ancilla welcomes Oakland Community College to town on Saturday for a 3 p.m. tip. This is a cross over game from the East MCCAA, which will not count in Ancilla's conference record.
