Destiny Fullmer Elevated to Head Women's Soccer Coach

Destiny Fullmer was recently elevated from her position as Assistant Women's Soccer Coach/Recruiting Coordinator, a position she has held for three seasons, to the new Head Women's Soccer Coach.  She will take over for Kalen Saddler who recently left the program for a position at Holy Cross College.  Destiny is a graduate of Anderson University in Anderson, IN where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training before earning her Master's Degree in Sports Conditioning and Performance from Southern Utah University.

Destiny is very familiar with the current roster of players and was actively involved in recruiting each player to Marian University Ancilla as the programs' Recruiting Coordinator.  Coach Fullmer is very excited about the direction of the program and the opportunity to serve as the Head Coach.

"I want to thank our AD, Brian Pearison, for this amazing opportunity to become the Head Coach at Marian University Ancilla.  I am grateful and honored to be taking over the program as the Head Coach.  We have rebuilt this program over the last three seasons and I am looking forward to continuing that this coming season.  I am excited to have a core group of returners coming back to help continue our growth.  This year's Freshman class played a huge role in helping the program achieve the most wins in a single season this year.  This group has been very supportive during the transition period and will be a great group of experienced players next year.  I am thrilled to keep building the program while also adding in some of my own coaching style.  I want to help all of our young ladies grow on the field, in the classroom and in the community."

Athletic Director Brian Pearison commented on Coach Fullmer taking over and the continuity within the program.  "I am excited to have Destiny move up to the Head Coach position.  We have had impressive growth within the Women's Soccer program over the past three years.  Our roster has more than doubled during this time period, our academic progress is moving in a great direction, and the team set a school record for wins last year.  It was important for me to have someone take on this role who could continue this progress and I know that Destiny will be able to do that."

The Chargers are coming off a record-setting season for overall wins, MCCAA wins, and had two freshman earn all-MCCAA honors in the fall and finished the fall semester with a team GPA of 2.99 overall.
