The MU Ancilla Volleyball Team continued its' amazing run of great play on the road in Winona Lake, IN where they defeated the Grace College JV team in 4 sets. The 4-set win avenged a 4-set home loss to the same Grace College JV team back on September 19th. The Chargers jumped out quickly to take Set 1 by the score of 25-19 and continued their strong play in the Set 2 which resulted in a 25-18 win. Grace rallied back to take Set 3 by the score of 21-25. MU Ancilla regrouped quickly to get off to a great start in Set 4 which ultimately led to a 25-15 in to take the match.
Coach Shaun McAllister was very pleased with her team as they were able get a win against a team that had previously knocked them off by a 3-1 score. "I am really proud of how we played tonight. I think our players had a really bad taste in their mouth from how we played against Grace JV the first time and they were ready to get the win tonight. I am pleased with our continued growth as the season has gone on. We are learning how to win and how to win consistently which not an easy thing to do as a program rebuilds."
The Chargers will return to action on Thursday for a huge home match with Southwestern Michigan that will have big MCCAA implications as both teams push for the playoffs. Southwestern Michigan took a 3-0 win over MU Ancilla back on September 20th. First serve will be at 6:30 at the Charger Arena.
