Lady Chargers Win Invitational

  Taylor Allison (Lafayette) bowled a 589 series and Alecia Albanese (Griffin) bowled a 567 to lead Ancilla College women to the championship of the Ancilla Invitational on Friday at Quick Lanes in Plymouth. The invitational was part of the Michigan Community College Athletic Association round-robin schedule. Brooklyn Schulz (Elkhart) finished seventh with a 534 series for the Lady Chargers with Megan Heflin (Dyer) eighth at 526 and teammate Ashley Heldman (Indianapolis) ninth at 201. Ellison 226 and Schultz 223 claimed two of the top high-games of the event. 

  "On the girls side let's just say 'statement made'". From start to finish they worked together as a team and it paid off in a big way. The lady Chargers left the Ancilla College Invitational Champions winning their first conference Invitational, said assistant coach, Tim Fraser.

  Ancilla is on the road this weekend with three days of competition. Friday they will be in Muskegon, Michigan for the Great lakes Classic and Saturday and Sunday they will compete in the Roto Grip Baker Tournament.
