Anything & Everything for Prospective Student-Athletes
Thank you for your interest in Marian University Ancilla!! Below are several tools you can use to find out more information about us, as well as questionnaires to help you get in touch with coaches in your sport, plus a section on what to do next once you have visited and received an offer from one of our teams. Additionally, there are a few things we wanted to make you aware of that you might not already know. First, we do offer athletic scholarship money, and as a Division-II NJCAA member institution, we are able to help you with your tuition in that capacity. Second, depending on your high school GPA, we are able to offer academic aid/discounts to many of our student-athletes. Third, if you are a 21st Century Scholar, you may apply for our 21st Century Scholar Tuition Scholarship [HERE]. Fourth, we also offer Valedictorian and Salutatorian scholarships, and you are able to find the requirements for those [HERE]. And lastly, while we do have several 2-year Associate degree programs, as well as 4-year Nursing and 4-year Education (beginning in the Fall of 2024) degree programs, we are also adaptable to most other intended areas of study and can help nearly any student-athlete begin their journey before ultimately reaching their 4-year school of choice. "Next Steps" for Student-Athletes Currently Holding Offers from Our Teams:
STEP-1: |
Apply to Marian Ancilla (takes 5-7 minutes online)

STEP-2: |
Please send a copy of your transcript in an official form, like a pdf, to the Marian Ancilla Head Coach who is recruiting you. You may also have your counselor send it instead. This will allow us to see your GPA through your first six semesters and let you know what type of academic aid/discounts you qualify for at Marian Ancilla. |
STEP-3: |
Fill Out The 2023-2024 FAFSA Form (takes 10-12 minutes online)https://studentaid.gov/fafsa-app/rolesPlease go to the above link, select the appropriate box, and create a login to fill out the FAFSA for the current academic year (2023-2024). This is a great way to estimate what government aid might be available to you. When the FAFSA for the 2024-2025 school year opens in January, you can simply transfer and update your information. It is very important to fill this out with as much accuracy as possible. If you are seeing this message and it is after January 1st, 2024, skip this step and simply fill out the 2024-2025 FAFSA information for an exact government contribution. |
STEP-4: |
Once we have received all the information from steps 1, 2, and 3, the Head Coach from the sport(s) you are interested in will be able to give you an exact dollar amount as far as an athletic scholarship they will be offering you from their sport. That athletic scholarship, combined with your academic aid/discounts, and your state/federal aid, will let you know what financial contribution you will need to make in order to finally become a Marian Ancilla Charger! |
