Third year coach Brian Pearison led the Ancilla men’s basketball program to its first national appearance in the 2019 NJCCA National Tournament and a 24-11 record in his first year as head coach. Pearison followed that success by leading his team to its third straight appearance in NJCAA Region 12 Great Lakes West District tournament this past winter. Ancilla was 20-7 in 2020. Pearison was the assistant coach for the Chargers for three years prior to taking the head coaching position.

  Pearison took over Ancilla’s athletic director position in July of 2018.

  Prior to Ancilla, Pearison served as assistant coach at Holy Cross College for five years and Jimtown High School for two years. During the two years at Jimtown, the Jimmies won the 2004 IHSAA State Championship. Pearison also coached at Indiana University South Bend (IUSB) for six years as an associate head coach.

  In addition, he directed and helped run several basketball camps in the area, including Jimtown, IUSB, and Eastlake Athletic Club. Pearison has coached at the high school and college level for 12 years.

Pearison currently resides in Elkhart, Indiana with his wife Renee, and children Austin and Audrey. Austin joined his dad at Ancilla last fall and plays on the basketball team.
