Chargers Take Two from Glen Oaks

                 Plymouth – Ancilla College returned home on Saturday and turned the table on Glen Oaks. The Chargers took the opener 11-7 and the nightcap 6-5.

                In the first game, Anthony Reyes and Hayden Maples each had two hits and two RBI. One of Reyes' hits was a double. Zachary Woods had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI. Rylan Huntley had a double and scored twice on two hits. Jack Bennett (2-2) surrendered six runs on seven hits, striking out two.  Ancilla used a six run second inning to push ahead and scored a run in each of the other five innings.  

                In the second contest, Jacob Kalt singled in the winning run in the bottom of the fifth inning to break a 5-5 tie and give the Chargers their second win of the day. Kalt had a pair of hits and scored a run. Reyes collected two hits, including a double, and scored a run and had an RBI.  Benicio Cardenas had two singles and an RBI and scored.

                Hayden Maples went the distance on the mound giving up nine hits, five runs and striking out eight.

                Ancilla will travel to play Muskegon community College on Friday and host the Jayhawks on Saturday with the first game beginning at 1 p.m.  The Chargers are 6-13 overall, 2-2 in the MCCAA, and 5-2 at home.
