Following a strong start to the season, the Marian University Ancilla Charger baseball team traveled to Glen Oaks Community College (MI) Tuesday for their first MCCAA conferece game of the season. The Chargers found themselves down 8-0 early, attempted to rally, cutting it to 10-5 late, before falling by a final score of 15-5 through 6 innings. They are now 13-6 on the season.

No one had more than one hit, but Sophomore first baseman Tyler Bumbalough reached base safely three times via a hit and a pair of walks. Sophomore catcher Austin Hear was responsible for a double, plus he drove in a pair of runs. Freshman Jacob Hobbs (3-2) took the loss in his 3 innings of work.

The Chargers now gear up for a big finish to the week. They travel to Kellogg Community College (MI) on Thursday for a 2:00 p.m. game, then return home for a 1:00 p.m. matchup with Lake Michigan College (MI) Saturday afternoon. Both of those games are MCCAA conference clashes. Sunday, the Chargers head to Morton College (IL) for a double-header scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and approximately 3:00 p.m. ET. Please come out and support the Chargers when you are able!!
