Thursday afternoon at Kellogg Community College, the Marian University Ancilla Baseball team came out and scored 2 runs in the top of the 1st inning, and appeared to be well on their way to their fifth victory of the season. 6 innings later, however, they found themselves on the other side of an 11-2 outcome to the Bruins.
The Chargers were limited to just 3 hits and 4 walks, as they just couldn't get much going in the later innings. Sophomore John Morgan continued to reach base, walking 3 of his 4 times at the plate. Sophomore Traevyn Shoaf was also productive on base, stealing 3 bases along with hitting a single. Freshman Tanner Coble pitched a solid 2 1/3 innings in relief, allowing just 1 run.
The baseball team is scheduled to play Lansing Community College at 1:00 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, at the Plymouth based campus. However, stay posted for weather related decisions, as rain is forecasted off and on the next few days. If the game is on, please come out and support the guys, if you are able!!
