Charger Cheer Welcomes Plennert

STOCKBRIDGE, MI –Stockbridge High School graduate Jaymelin Plennert, recently signed her Letter of Intent to cheer at Ancilla College for the 2015 season.

In high school, Plennert was a member of the competitive team for the Panthers where she earned two varsity letters. During the competitive season, she was a three round athlete and served in the stunting position of backspot.

Outside of cheerleading, Plennert was a member of the Stockbridge High School Track and Field team where she has earned 12 track and field awards, several of which are first place medals for her performance in the 300M hurdles.

Plennert has also been a member of the Stockbridge High School band for four years and has earned four band awards during her high school career.

"I chose Ancilla because I was very impressed with their nursing program and the Charger Cheer Team seemed like a great opportunity," commented Plennert on her reason for choosing Ancilla College.

"Jayme Plennert has been a great asset to our competitive cheer team at Stockbridge High School," remarked Stockbridge High School head cheer Coach Tammy Sayler. "She has shown great leadership among her peers. Jayme came onto the team as a first time cheerleader with no experience under her belt. She strived to be the best she could be with determination and dedication. When the opportunity to sign with Ancilla College came to my attention, I knew Jayme was up for the challenge. She will be dedicated to do her best for the team and will be a great asset to the college as well as her teammates. I wish Jayme all the best at Ancilla in the upcoming years."

"I am excited to welcome someone with such great leadership skills and dedication to the sport into our program," said Ancilla College head cheer coach Kaylee King. "Jayme's attention to detail and willingness to learn will be a great asset to both her personal growth as well as the teams. She is a very determined athlete who wants to grow her skills to the next level and that is exactly the type of athlete we are looking for here at Ancilla."

Jayme is the daughter of Nick Plennert from Stockbridge, MI. During her time as a Charger, Jayme plans to work toward her Associates Degree in Nursing.
