DONALDSON – Katelyn Scott, a senior at Mississinewa High School, recently signed her letter of intent to continue her cheerleading career at Ancilla College.
Scott, the daughter of Gregory Scott, is a four year varsity cheerleader for the Indians under head coach Heather Rumple. During her cheer career, she has served in the position of flyer in both football and basketball sideline seasons where she was the recipient of the Sportsmanship Award.
"Katie has evolved from a scared freshman into a beautiful, confident young woman," commented Coach Rumple. "Her dedication and leadership will be an asset to any team. She used to be afraid to fly, and now, she soars!"
"We are excited to have Katie with us for the 2017-18 season," said Ancilla Cheer Coach Kaylee Feece. "She is a very talented flyer and has an overall love for cheerleading. Her personality and bubbly spirit combined with her outstanding work ethic will make her a great addition to our program."
Outside of cheerleading, Scott was involved in solo and ensemble where she won five gold solo medals, and was a part of theatre. While attending Ancilla, she plans to study to become a personal trainer.
