DONALDSON - Tanner Hack of Rossville Jr./Sr. High School in Rossville, IN, has signed with the Ancilla College men's basketball team for the 2011-2012 season.
Hack, a 6'1" forward, was named the County Player of the Year by the Frankfort Times after leading Rossville with 16.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.
"Tanner had a great career at Rossville and we look forward to him carrying over that success to Ancilla," said Ancilla men's basketball coach Greg Neeley. "He will be a great addition to our campus community."
He lettered three years under Rossville coach Michael Gick, earning all-county honors each season. Hack was named all-conference in the Hoosier Heartland Conference both his junior and senior seasons.
For the season, Hack connected on 44 percent of his field goal attempts including 50 percent from within the arc. He showed his ability to dominate both the boards and the score sheet, scoring 29 points against Lafayette Harrison, 27 points against Carroll, and a 20 point, 24 rebound effort against Clinton Central.
He earned 11 total varsity letters in his high school career, participating in both track and cross country to go along with his basketball experience.
Hack is the son of Tom and Sue Hack and plans on studying criminal justice.
