Plymouth, IN – No. 1 Ancilla College remained unbeaten Tuesday night as they clinched the Michigan Community College Athletic Association West with a 110-82 win over Muskegon Community College.
The Chargers got all 11 players involved in the first half as they shot 51 percent from the field. Ancilla (12-0, 7-0) was led by Jakylen Thomas with 21 points. Keith Rupert scored 16, with Cortney Shorter adding 15. Rico Swanson, Jr. totaled 12 points, as did Shak Johnson, who also led the team with eight rebounds. Marco Beverly finished with 10 points.
A big test for Ancilla comes to town Friday night when No. 10 Mott Community College arrives in Plymouth. The Bears were ranked 6th a week ago.
