Men's Basketball Kicks Off Their Season, Falls 78-63 to Bosco Institute

Saturday night, the men's basketball season began in Hammond, Indiana, as they traveled to take on the Bosco Institute at the Hammond Civic Center. The prep school, whose roster is made up of 5th year post-graduates, used it's size and length to control the game from beginning to end.

Freshman guard Marcellous Boyd led the Chargers in scoring with 11 points, while pulling down 6 boards. Freshman guard Sean Kimble was also in double figures with 10 points. Freshman guard Kameron Hordge pulled down 11 caroms for Marian Ancilla, while Freshman wing Tyshaun Grundy led the team in assists with 4. The host Dons placed four players in double digits, with Jayden Watson leading the way with 18 points, Cooper Loll scoring 17 points and grabbing 8 rebounds, Dayton Hoover contributing 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists, and Marquis Smith chipping in 11 points and 6 rebounds.

The Chargers are back in action this Friday, November 10th, as they host the Grace College JV team. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET at Charger Arena in the LifePlex in Plymouth, Indiana. Please come out and support the men's basketball team!!
