Despite Chargers' Late Push, Lancers Escape With Win

Friday night, the men's basketball team played host to the Grace Lancers' Junior Varsity squad. The Lancers used a strong offensive first half to jump out to a 43-35 lead at the break. Despite a late push by the Marian Ancilla Chargers, Grace escaped Plymouth, Indiana, with a 72-67 victory.

Freshman forward Jayden Sanders led the Chargers with a double-double, scoring 14 points and pulling down 11 rebounds, 6 of which were at the offensive end of the floor. Freshman guard Kameron Hordge (14 points) and Sophomore wing Ben Jones (10 points) also scored in double figures, while Freshman wing Tyshaun Grundy handed out 7 assists.

Grace also placed three players in double digits for scoring, with Junior Alex Darnell topping the Lancers with 17 points. Sophomore Brennan Darr added 15 points, and Senior Kalvary Lingenfelter chipped in 11 points of his own.

The MUAC Chargers are back in action Tuesday, November 14th, as they host Harper College at home. Tip is scheduled for 6:00 pm ET at the Charger Arena inside of the LifePlex in Plymouth, Indiana. Please come out and support the Chargers!!
