Balanced Effort Leads to 81-65 Win

The Marian University Ancilla men's basketball team picked up their second win in as many days Friday, winning in Mishawaka against Bethel's Junior Varsity team, 81-65. The Chargers were able to go 12 players deep on the evening, seeing eight of them finding the scoring column, and four of them reaching double figures.

The Chargers erupted in the first half for 48 points, leading by 17 points at the break, 48-31. The second half was much more even, won 34-33 by the Pilots, as the Chargers were able to get everyone into the game. Sophomore wing Ben Jones led all scorers with 23 points, plus he added 4 rebounds and an assist. Freshman guard Kameron Hordge contributed 18 points off the bench, while Freshman forward Clayton Bubash scored 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Freshman forward Jayden Sanders was the fourth double-digit scorer with his 11 points.

The men's basketball team will be back in action Saturday afternoon, as they host Illinois Central College. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET at Charger Arena. Please come out and support the men's basketball team!!
