Sophomore Ben Jones
Sophomore Ben Jones

Last night, the men's basketball team traveled to South Holland, Illinois, to take on the NJCAA Division-II top ranked South Suburban Bulldogs. While it proved to be a tough challenge, and ball security was an issue throughout, the Chargers did adapt and improve throughout the game.

Sophomore wing Ben Jones (12 points) and Freshman forward Jayden Sanders (10 points) each scored in double digits, as the Chargers were able to place eight players in the scoring column. Jones added 8 rebounds, while Freshman forward Clayton Bubash pulled down 6 rebounds himself.

South Suburban got a big game out of Jemel Jones, who scored 27 points, pulled down 9 rebounds, collected 8 steals, and handed out 5 assists. Brandon Adorno added 13 points and 6 assists, while Quentin Heady also scored in double figures with 11 points.

The Chargers are back in action Thursday, as they begin a 4-game-in-4-day stretch when they take on Olive-Harvey at home. Please come out to Charger Arena and support the men's basketball team!!
