Action in Jackson, Bowling Returns After 2-Weeks Away

Due to a weather postponement last Friday, the Marian University Ancilla bowling team was back in action Friday for the first time in two weeks, as they headed to Jackson, Michigan, to participate in the East/West Invitational. The Chargers were a part of the West group hosted by Jackson College at University Lanes (the East group participated at Kirtland Community College). Below is a look at how each Charger team did at the event.

The MUAC men's bowling team finished in 3rd Place out of five teams, with a team score of 3634. Sophomore Dylan Pohl posted the team's top individual game, bowling a 218. He also had the top match score on the team with a 581. Sophomore Peter Kenney bowled a game of 194, while Freshman Gbolahon Olatoye knocked down 192 pins in his first game with the team. Olatoye was also second on the team with a match score of 520 and Kenney was third with a match score of 478.

The MUAC women's bowling team finished in 4th Place out of five teams, with a team score of 2567. Freshman Allyson Lawson once again topped the Charger women's team with a total score of 478 and an individual game high of 171 in her first game. Lawson also posted the team's second best individual score, rolling a 168 in her second game. Freshman Sophie Willey was next with a 148 in her middle game. Willey was also second on the team with a 3-game match score of 357.

Both bowling teams are back in action on Friday, January 26th, as they head to Kellogg Community College. The KCC Invitational is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. ET. Please come out and support the Charger bowlers!!
