WABASH, IN – Josh Provance, son of Guy Provance and LuAnne White, recently signed his Letter of Intent to play golf at Ancilla College for the 2014-2015 season.
A talented golfer at Wabash High School, Provance was a member of the team, who won sectionals in 2013. For two consecutive years, he earned the Mental Attitude Award at WHS. Most recently in 2014, Provance was named MVP of his high school golf team.
WHS golf coach Ryan McClure expressed, "Josh is a great young man, who has put in a lot of practice to develop his golf game. He will represent Ancilla College with class on and off the golf course. Josh is a very strong ball striker. When his short game catches up to the other parts of his game, he will be a very productive collegiate student-athlete."
When asked what made Ancilla the right choice for him, Provance replied, "I'm very excited with the new computer major that is offered by Ancilla, plus I get to continue golfing."
"Josh is a great find. He already is a good golfer and I think he has the ability to take his game to the next level. Josh is also a very mature young man off the course as well," commented Charger coach Marc Green.
Provance will study Logistics and Inventory Systems during his time at Ancilla.
