Men's Golf Tees Off for the First Time

Following a pair of postponements to begin the season, the Marian University Ancilla men's golf team finally saw some action Monday afternoon, when they traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan, to take part in the Grand Rapids Invitational. Grand Rapids Community College hosted the event at the Egypt Valley Golf course, which was set at 6700 yards in total length and scored as a Par-72 course.

Only two golfers were available to make the trip, so there was not a formal team score recorded. Freshman golfer Joshua King of nearby Bremen, Indiana, scored an 88 on the day placing him in a tie for 27th Place. Sophomore golfer Bryan Chavero of Indianapolis, Indiana, was the other golfer who suited up, scoring a 131 for the event.

The MUAC men's golf team is set to be back in action this Friday when they attend the Jackson Invitational at the Arbor Hills Golf Club. Please come out and support the Chargers, if you are able!!
