Huge 2nd Half Leads Men's Soccer To 4-0 Win At Lake Michigan

For the second time in 11 days, the Charger Men's Soccer team faced off against conference foe, Lake Michigan College.  The Charger men followed up a 10-0 win on August 27th with a 4-0 win today to move their record to 3-0-1 and 2-0 in the MCCAA.  Wednesday's matchup saw the 1st half end with neither team able to find the back of the net.  The 2nd half was a different story as the Chargers scored 4 times to secure the win.  Yovani Navarette got the scoring started in the 53rd minute on an assist from Damian Vargas.  Just 2 minutes later, Kevin Cruz found the back on the net on an assist from Navarette to stretch the lead to 2-0.  Dalian Leach provided insurance in the form of goals at the 62nd and 64th minutes, both on assists from Bryce Taberski to round out the scoring at 4-0.  Fernando Salazar and David Barraso combined on the shutout in goal for the Chargers.  The men will return to action on Satruday at Schoolcraft College with a 3:00 start time.
