For the third time this season, all three times by Freshmen, the Marian Ancilla Men's Soccer team saw one of their players collect the prestigious hat trick in a game, as the Chargers took care of Terra State Community College on Wednesday afternoon in Fremont, Ohio, 6-1.

This time it was Freshman midfielder Bawi Za Sang scoring a trio of goals, as he found the back of the net at the 10:30 mark, the 52:02 mark, and the 67:37 mark. It's the second time this season he has posted a hat trick...congratulations!! Additionally, he added an assist on a goal by fellow Freshman Isaiah Moore at the 32:10 mark.

Freshman Matt Polk Jr. got things started less than 10 minutes into the match, as he scored on an assist from classmate Yeffreys Quintanilla, who had a hat trick of his own last Friday and a second assist later in this matchup. Then, less than two minutes later, Bawi Za Sang scored his first of three goals.

Polk Jr. was also responsible for a second goal, as he scored the final tally for MUAC late in the second half on an assist from Sophomore Santiago Morales. Charger Freshman Hein Lin picked up an assist as well, just after halftime, marking five team assists on six goals scored for Marian Ancilla.

The Chargers were in the offensive half for much of the contest, and they put a ton of pressure on the Titans throughout the match. "Proud of the guys today and it's great to get a road win in the region [NJCAA Region 12]. Man of the match goes to Bawi Za Sang for getting his second hat trick of the season, plus an assist. Now, we turn our focus to another conference game on the road at Jackson, and it offers us an opportunity to pick up our first MCCAA win of the year," pointed out Head Coach Kirk Weiss.

The Men's Soccer team will in fact head to Jackson College this Saturday to take on the Jets in a 1:00 p.m. contest. Please come out and support the Chargers, if you are able!!
