Men's Track & Field First Stop: Polar Bear Invitational

The Marian University Ancilla Track & Field season got started on Friday & Saturday, March 22nd & 23rd, as they traveled to Marion, Indiana, to participate in the Polar Bear Invitational, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University. Below is a look at some of the highlights from the Charger men's performances.

- The men's 4x100 meter relay team of Sophomores Bryce TaberskiTyrie Gregory, and Chris Vargas, plus Freshman Jayden Sanders, finished in 3rd place overall with a time of 47.8 seconds!!

- Sophomore Chris Vargas later went on to place 17th in the long jump, with a top jump of 5.80 meters.

- Sophomore David Schadek of nearby Plymouth, Indiana, placed 16th in the men's steeple chase, with a time of 11:13. Schadek also won his heat in the 800 meters, then went on to finish 42nd overall with a time of 2:06.

- Sophomore Max Kendzicky also participated in the 800 meters and finished in a time of 2:48.

While the MUAC Track & Field team doesn't have any home meets, they do have some close to campus, and not far drives, depending on which direction you are coming from. You can access their schedule HERE!! Please come out and support the Chargers when you are able!!
