Saturday, the NJCAA National Championships for cross country took place at the John Hunt Cross Country Park in Huntsville, Alabama. While the Chargers didn't have enough runners in attendance to earn a team score, they did see three men run strong in the race.
Freshman runner David Shadek ran the second best time in Charger history at 28:10.6, just nine seconds off of his own school record. Congratulations to David on a great run, and we look forward to seeing him back next year for his Sophomore season!!
Sophomore runners Bryan Chavero Ortega (31:58.6) and Max Kendzicky (35:11.2) each ran personal best times. Chavero Ortega beat his PR by a whopping 42 seconds, while Kendzicky topped his PR by 13 seconds!! Way to go gentlemen!! This is the final race for both Sophomores in a Charger uniform, so the athletic department would like to thank each of you for your time and commitment to the MUAC cross country program!!
