Kyra Duncan (SO - Southport HS) was named the MCCAA Western Conference Player of the Week as she led the Chargers to a 2-1 week which included a road win at NJCAA Division 1 opponent, Lincoln Trail.  In that game which was Duncan's MU Ancilla debut, she scored 18 points, pulled down 9 rebounds, and hit what turned out to be the game-winning basket with under a minute to play.  For the week, Kyra averaged 18.3 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists per game and shot 73% from the free throw line.  

Coach Ryan Gould was pleased to see Kyra recognized for her great start to the season.  "Kyra had a great 1st week as an MU Ancilla Charger.  She led us to a couple of really nice wins, had a game winning basket, and showed she is not afraid to handle big moments in a game.  She played with a lot of toughness and showed her experience as a college player which we definitely needed."

The Chargers, coming off a 69-58 win on Tuesday, will return to action on the road at Edison State on Saturday for a 1:00 PM start.
