The Marian University Ancilla women's basketball season came to an end Tuesday night, as they played Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, Michigan. The Chargers were severely short-handed, as in addition to their season-long injuries, they were missing two more key players due to illness. Still, though, the Chargers battled from beginning to end and gave the Conference Champion Bruins a good game much of the way.

Freshman guard Nasiya Gause even played through a cold, and she had one of her better games of the season, scoring 23 points. Over the last eight games of the year, she really stepped up, averaging 18.4 points per game for MUAC. Freshman guard Brooklynn Cooper had arguably her best game of the season as well, especially in the second half. She did a nice job taking care of the basketball, and was aggressive to the rim, often finishing through contact. Cooper scored 9 points and played great defense as well. Freshman wing Bella Mahan buried three more 3-pointers, scoring 11 points for the game. She finished the season with 49 made 3-pointers at a 31.2% rate. Sophomore Derriauna Woodson (9 rebounds) and Freshman Beauti Santiago (7 rebounds) led the Chargers in board work.

Head Coach Ryan Gould had mixed emotions on the finality of the season, "you never want to see the season come to an end, but these ladies battled significant injuries and illnesses all season. To win 12 games the way we did is quite an accomplishment, especially considering this program hasn't seen double-digit wins often. We will miss those leaving the program very much, and I would like to thank them for the time and energy they've given to this program. At the same time, we are excited about those we are returning, and we will look to build upon this season in the Fall."

Kellogg got a nice game out of Kaylee Glidden who scored 22 points, knocking down four 3-pointers. She also had 5 steals, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Corin Replogle played a nice floor game with 15 points and 7 assists, Shayla Ardis posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Mary Whitmore added 10 points of her own. The Bruins celebrated their "Sophomore Day" before the game.
