For the first time this season, a Marian University Ancilla Women's Basketball player was honored with the title of MCCAA Western Division Player of the Week. This past weekend, Sophomore Nasiya Gause helped the Chargers to a pair of victories. Friday evening, they defeated Henry Ford College for the second time, 84-36. Saturday afternoon, in a high-scoring affair, they took care of Oakland Community College, 119-99.

In Friday night's action, the 5-7 guard scored 9 points, handed out 3 assists, picked up 2 rebounds, and added a steal in limited minutes. Saturday, she was outstanding at both ends of the floor, ripping the nets for 37 points on 9-17 shooting, including a 19-21 effort from the charity stripe. Additionally, "SiSi" posted a double-double with her 15 rebounds, and she collected 3 steals in the win. "SiSi" is from Lake Station, Indiana, and she graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School.
