Winter Sports Wrap-Up: Women's Bowling Finishes 15th At NJCAA Nationals

The MU Ancilla Women's Bowling Team took part in the NJCAA National Tournament held in Cheektowaga, NY on March 2nd, 3rd, and 4th to wrap up their winter season.  The Chargers were only able to take 3 bowlers to Nationals but came away with some outstanding results.  The 3 bowlers were able to finish a very respectable 15th place at the tournament.  Jasmine Huff finished her amazing Sophomore year with a 9th place finish out of 100 bowlers.  She fell just 8 pins short of 8th place which would have placed her on the All-American Team.  Katherine Ford finished in 24th place out of 100 bowlers while Erin Stacy finished in 69th place as both finished their MU Ancilla bowling careers as well.

Coach Masterson was very proud of her 3 athletes.  "These 3 did such an amazing job at the National Tournament!  They stayed positive with each other and encouraging during some extremely long days that started at 7:30 AM and did not conclude until well into the evening.  They set a very high bar for our future bowlers to reach for and I am thankful that I was able to work with them this season.  Each of the three achieved some big things this year."

Jasmine Huff finished the season as a member of the All-MCCAA Team and the All-Region Team while just missing out on being named to the All-American Team.  Katherine Ford was also a member of the All-Region Team.  The Chargers finished 2nd in the MCCAA point totals and also finished 3rd at the Region Tournament.
