Ancilla College opened the season with a goal in the first 15 seconds of the women's soccer match against Lake Michigan College on Wednesday afternoon.  Sophomore Rebekahha Guess took the kickoff down the left side and swiftly lifted it into the goal.  Katie Garon added a second goal eight minutes later and the Lady Chargers were off to a 2-0 advantage.  LMC responded with two goals in each half to secure a 4-2 victory.

                Ancilla continued to press the Red Hawk defense as they dented the goal post on three occasions in the first half, just missing goals. The Lady Chargers had two goal kicks in the final 10 minutes of the match, but were unable to score. 

                The team will be on the road Saturday for a 1 p.m. start at Jackson College.
