Women's Soccer Drops Tough One at Home, 4-0, to St. Clair

As the women's soccer season winds down, the Chargers are finishing with a pair of home matchups this week. Wednesday they hosted St. Clair Community College in a matinee kickoff, falling to the Skippers, 4-0. Despite the score, the women again played short-handed and battled until the end.

Freshman goalkeeper Sophie Willey continues to put together strong efforts between the pipes, this match saving 17 shots. At the offensive end, Sophomore midfielder Myah Donovan and Freshman midfielder Melania Granger were able to get shots on goal themselves.

Head Coach Destiny Fulmer was again encouraged by her team's performance, stating, "I am proud of the effort the team gave for being under pressure most of the game. Playing the last few weeks with 11 and at times 10 players due to injuries, this group has not given up and still continues to battle every day. We are looking forward to one more game together with this group on Saturday for Sophomore Day."

The Charger women's soccer team is back in action one final time this Saturday at home for SOPHOMORE DAY! Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. against Jackson College, with festivities shortly beforehand. Please come out and support the Chargers and their Sophomores one last time this weekend!
