Benton Harbor, MI – Ancilla College dropped the second match of their four game road schedule to start the season. Lake Michigan College beat the Lady Chargers (0-2) 21-25, 16-25, 22-25 to claim a 3-0 victory. Ancilla pushed the Red Hawks (1-1) in the first and third games, but could not hang on to claim the win.
Olivia Schwab had 12 kills and 2 blocks to lead the Lady Chargers. Alexa Kilmartin had 21 assists.
Ancilla heads on the road to play Grand Rapids on Tuesday, weather permitting. Game time is slated for 6:30 p.m. Coach Shaun McAllister and the women will then have a week off before competing their 4-game road schedule to start the season.
