Volleyball Celebrates Sophomore Night; Drops a Tough One to Kellogg 3-0

The Marian Ancilla volleyball team wrapped up their season Thursday night, falling at home at the hands of Kellogg Community College in three sets, 25-8, 25-11, 25-17. The Charger team played hard throughout the match, trying to keep every ball in play as long as possible.

On the night they celebrated their lone Sophomore, outside hitter JCarla Harris, she played very well, racking up multiple kills throughout the evening, and chasing down a number of balls outside of her area. Freshman outside hitter Sarah Tepp was another one who exhausted herself chasing down balls to keep in play, while Freshman libero Brooke Schroeder tallied several aces and dug out a few tough balls to keep possessions alive for the Chargers.

After the game, Head Coach Heather Donovan stated, "I am extremely proud of these girls giving their all. Although we had a tough season, they all stuck it out to make sure they improved not only as athletes, but as young adults as well. I cannot wait to see how these girls play next year and watch their love for the game grow."

That is the conclusion of the 2023 volleyball season, and the MUAC athletic department would like to thank the players and coaches for their hard work and dedication. Charger fans, be sure to come back next season, as the ladies look to improve for 2024!!
