Lake Michigan Proves Too Much for Chargers

Tuesday evening, the Marian Ancilla Volleyball team traveled to Benton Harbor, Michigan, to take on Lake Michigan College. Unfortunately for the Chargers, it wasn't an enjoyable trip, as the Red Hawks secured a 3-0 home victory, 25-10, 25-12, 25-17.

The Chargers played with great effort, but Lake Michigan seemed to move the ball with pace, while matching the Marian Ancilla effort. As MUAC Head Coach Heather Donovan put it, "our team has recognized the first-ball-kill mindset, but we're still learning how to make scoring runs."

For the Chargers, Redshirt Freshman Kylee Saylor and true Freshman Kayla Ford-Harvey led the team in hitting, each posting a .333 number. Sophomore Sarah Tepp also had a good showing offensively (.267 hitting).

MUAC Volleyball is back in action tomorrow evening, when they head to Lansing Community College for another MCCAA matchup. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m., so please come out and support the Chargers, if you are able!!
