Friday morning, the Marian Ancilla Women's and Men's Cross Country teams traveled to St. Clair County Community College for the Region 12 Championship Race. The women finished 13th out of 14 teams at the meet, but four of the seven runners posted personal best times, with a fifth setting a season best time, plus they performed as well as a team as they have all season.

Freshman Ciara Bonner continued her strong season, placing 44th overall in the 5k race, finishing in her second best time of the season at 23:07.30. Sophomore Lucy Lillis (27:37.60), Freshman Daniela Ruiz Baca (30:46.30), Sophomore Shaylee Loftin (32:24.40), and Freshman Katelyn Schlotter (33:55.30) all ran personal best times as collegians, while Sophomore Sam Benninghoff (49:24.30) ran a season best time. Freshman Chloe Szumanski (30:07.50) fought through an injury to finish the race as well.

The Marian Ancilla Women's Cross Country team concluded their season Friday, but look for a few of these ladies to participate with the Track & Field team in the Spring. Congratulations to a nice end to the season, ladies!!
